"Like a flip flop to a high heel"

There's just no comparison.

Oh my gosh you guys!! Did you see Oprah today?! Agggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! How freaking excited are you?!! Well, if you didn't see it, the ladies (and the always fabulous Mr. Big) from Sex and the City were there discussing their new movie!! Now, the show wasn't all that fantastic. Oprah kind of annoys the crap out of me and there are more commercial breaks than actual interviewing but just the fact that all the ladies were there discussing the movie was so exciting. If you've been living under a rock for the past year, the movie comes out May 30th.... and I'm already trying to decide what to wear.

Words really can't describe how excited I am to see this movie. Sex and the City isn't just a tv show to me. Its honestly like therapy. I know I've said this time and time again but the show is just that good. Its funny and sad and silly and so relatable. The characters and the story lines and the clothes... my God, the clothes; everything about the show is just amazing. I had goosebumps just watching the trailer.

The movie premier is a little bitter sweet for me because I don't have my girlfriends here to go see it with me. I'm planning on seeing it with my sisters, which will be incredibly fun, but not being with my Carrie, Charlotte, and Samantha (I identify most with the Miranda character) will be a little sad. I do have big plans for the night though. I want to get dressed up and go have tapas and cocktails at a really fun little restaurant in Orlando that I went to on my bachellorette party and then go to see the movie at the theater on International Drive. I'm already signed up to get an email alert for when the tickets go on sale. Now all I have to do is figure out what I'm going to wear. I think I'll probably start with the shoes and then build up from there.

I'd like to end this post with a quote from Sex and the City the television show. It's actually the very last quote of the entire series. We'll let this be a little "to be continued" until the movie comes out. So, here it is:

Carrie: Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.
