Insomniac

Ugh... I can't sleep. I hate it when this happens. I'm freaking exhausted but just can't get my brain to shut the hell up and go to sleep with my body. I've heard that writing down what's on your mind can help so I'm giving it a shot.

My mother-in-law is coming into town tomorrow so we've been getting ready for that. I love her so I'm not worried about tension or anything I've just been trying to get the house ready and stuff like that. Our washing machine broke and I just realised today that I was down to the last two clean towels so I had to pack up all that stuff and run it to my mom's house to be washed. We just bought our washing machine in January (of this year!) and its already broken. It won't agitate or spin. We bought it scratch and dent and it came with a one year warranty but stupid me seems to have misplaced the info. We would really hate to buy a new one so we're going to see if we can have someone come out and repair it. I'm sure it'll cost an arm and a leg but its better than shelling out for another new one.

Speaking of shelling out... our sprinkler system broke too. We actually just got that fixed today. Our pump broke so we had to get a new one of those and some new piping and some new sprinkler heads. You know one thing about home ownership, if its not one thing its another. I guess that's the downside to buying an older home. I'm just waiting for something major like the roof or the electrical to break. Good lord, please don't let it be this year!

I had my second appointment with the new hair dresser yesterday and I let her color my hair this time. I am officially a blond now. I think the color is more shocking to me than it is to anyone else because no one even noticed. Its not platinum blond or anything but its definitely lighter. My own mother didn't even notice it. I like it but its just different and will take a little getting used to. I think I'm going to stick with this hair girl for a while. She's really nice and does a good job and doesn't cost a fortune.

Have you all been keeping up with the gossip lately? Actually, I know my target audience and know you've all been keeping up with it. Did you see the hilarious picture on People magazine of Ashlee Simpson's wedding? The actual wedding picture of the couple was no big deal and actually was more of a tease than anything because you could only see their faces, no dress or anything. The funny part of the cover was the ridiculous shot of Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo. First of all, whoever selected that particular picture should be ashamed of themself. It looks like she's shitfaced and he's doing her up the butt. Secondly, how desperate is she to prove that she's still in a relationship with a guy who has been telling the whole world they've already broken up AND has been seen out macking on all kinds of other girls! It just struck me as all kinds of hilarious.

Agggghhhh... I don't know if the blogging is helping me or not. I've already taken a muscle relaxer that just now seems to be kicking in a little. My fingers are moving a little slower than my brain. I swear that I have restless leg syndrome in my left arm. Sometimes when I have trouble sleeping my stupid arm gets all crazy and drives me out of my mind. It is hard to describe but it gets a weird tingly/heavy/tightening feeling and the only way I can make it stop is by moving my arm or changing positions. You can imagine how that doesn't really promote sleeping. Usually the muscle relaxer kicks in and I'm out like a light but on these rare occasions when my mind also keeps running lists of to-do's interspersed with random song lyrics and thoughts about tomorrow's outfit and things I saw on tv and on and on and on it takes more than the muscle relaxer to get me to sleep. I guess it could also be the Mexican food I had for dinner. Who the hell knows, all I know is that it drives me crazy.

Oh well... I think I'll browse the Internet for a few and then hopefully get back into bed and fall fast asleep. Good night.

Gee...When it rains it pours! I feel for you. Hopefully it is just a small part on your washing machine. If you bought it at Lowes or Home Depot and used a credit card, they can look up your receipt and maybe they will replace it.
I dyed my hair on Saturday too. Actually Kevin did it and he did a really nice job. It is dark brown/black. I love it and everyone says it looks good. When I get up some pictures of Pat's wedding, you will be able to see it. I want to see pics of your hair!
I hope the best for your washer!

LMAO!! I HATE Jessica Simpson, so the picture of her and Romo CRACKS me up! She is soooo pathetic.

Restless leg syndrome in your arm?! hahaha. This post made my boring day a bit better. You make me laugh.
